Our planning team went to meet BN (Brittan Norman) Management at Daedalus (Lee-on-Solent) to discuss their plans for the Airfield and to see how the FAA Squadron could help.  The BN Group already has an outlet at Thruxton looking after helicopters such as the Scout and the Wasp. Their plans are to develop the airfield for General Aviation (GA) with a strong Fleet Air Arm theme drawing on the obvious strengths of its Heritage.  It was a most interesting and encouraging meeting and there are great plans to develop the catering (some of you will recall the very pleasant restaurant that BN ran at Bembridge) so although the present facilities are very limited - expect progress.

The Squadron has been offered free landing at any time with the minimum of fuss.  They would like to see lots of Squadron visitors at weekends!  (There are a few security issues you should be aware of before you land there so please check before you go).  So apart from making regular visits look for future News Items to see how the Squadron can help.
