Yeovilton R.N. Historic Flight Open Day

May 17th 1997

The Charity Flying Day at Yeovilton was organised by one of our members , John Beattie, in order to raise funds for The Royal Naval Historic Flight of which he was the Commanding Officer 1991/94. The event was well supported by the general public but unfortunately the very poor weather discouraged most squadron members from flying in . Many people achieved flights in vintage biplanes, viewed historic flight aircraft and listened to excellent short talks in the hangar given by Fleet Air Arm personalities on operating the RNHF types.
